Road & Storage Trailers
Portable, dock-level access make The Mobile Storage Group®'s road and storage trailers ideal for retailers, manufacturers, distributors and many others to transport and store materials, supplies, equipment, finished products, excess inventory, and much more. Road trailers and storage trailers are available for rental or sale, with new or used units available.
Should I get a road Trailer or a Storage Trailer?
Road (cartage) trailers are licensed as roadworthy to transport materials from one location to another. Storage trailers are not certified roadworthy and, once loaded, can only be moved short distances on a single site. So, if you need to transport materials or products from one site to another, a road trailer is your best option. But if you're mainly interested in dock-height access to your property or just want to move it from place to place on your site, then a storage trailer is an economical choice.
Both road/cartage trailers and storage trailers are available in a variety of sizes* and styles. Common lengths range from 28' to 53', with widths ranging from 8' to 8'6" and box heights from 96" (8') to 102" (8'6"). Road trailers and storage trailers are also available with roll-up or swing doors that have water-resistant gaskets. Flooring in road trailers and storage trailers is hardwood. Many of our road trailers and storage trailers can even accommodate forklifts! (Depends on forklift size and weight. Flatbed Trailers
Flatbed trailers are ideal for transporting lumber, piping or other materials. Flatbed trailers are available in lengths of 40' to 48', and widths of 96" (8') to 102" (8'6").* A 4' high bulkhead helps protect materials during transport, and sliding winches, spring suspension and a sliding tandem stabilize the trailer load.
